Occupation Health and Safety for Production- MyAssignmenthelp.com

Question: Discuss about theOccupation Health and Safetyfor Production. Answer: Introduction The paper involves specific content that describes the proper prospect of the occupational health hazards in the workplace or the organization. It is basically in the workplace that the environment of the workplace affects the individual and so is the lifestyle of the individual vice versa. At that time it becomes necessary to make the proper assessment of the occupational health hazards occurring at the workplace. For that reason, the paper had selected the oil and gas industry such as the Beach Energy in Australia. Based on the services as well as the literature regarding the hazards and the company this paper will eventually provide a proper method that will help in developing the occupational health management plan for Beach Energy (Cooklin, et al., 2015). The company is basically involved in exploration, production, and development of natural gas, oil and liquefied natural gas along with their transportation, refining as well as marketing of lubricant products as well as goods. In that manner safety is the most important criteria that the organization must possess. In that context, the paper is supposed to provide the details of the workplace along with the hazards associated with that workplace (Guzman, Tompa De Boer, 2013). Details of the Workplace The workplace which is selected for the assessment of the occupational health hazards is the Beach Energy situated in Australia. It is one of the Australias rich onshore oil producer company headquartered in Adelaide. The organization majorly works for the active exploration as well as the development drilling program in Cooper Basin in Australia. The reason behind it is the Beach has a core focus upon the Cooper basin because it is rich in resources and it will help the organization to extract more oil and natural gas to serve the globe and to raise the economy (Kvorning, Hasle Christensen, 2015). Thus it can be said that the major physical place it occupies is the whole area of Cooper Basin along with making identification many other diverse beaches with the rich amount of resources. Therefore by exploring the diverse as well as strategically located resource basins the company establishes its infrastructure supply to many of the key markets across the globe. Moreover, the company continues its processes by getting access to prime tight gas acreage situated in Nappameri Trough. So it basically makes them work collaboratively by to transform the prospects for the market of Australias East Coast gas market. In that condition the oil and gas reserves of almost the 70 millions of barrels of oil within it by the time of 30 June 2016 (Laberge, MacEachen Calvet, 2014). This resulted into a strong balance sheet along with a fully funded FY17 of the whole capital expenditure program anticipated. Along with that the company majorly is enriched by the collaboration of the local labours as well as the contractors. Those labours and the contractors generally come under the young age group as they have to take many risks while continuing the work. The FY16 basically comprised up of the mixture of all age groups that posed a threat towards the safety of the employees. In that manner, the company changed its policy and formulated the policies to achieve the safety outcomes with respect to the environmental impact raised within the organization. Thus from FY16, it is seen that the total injury rate or the health hazards are normally getting decreased from the organization (Lay, et al., 2016). And more specifically the company is starting the aboriginal employment processes. The organizations, therefore, worked with the purpose of delivering the sustainable growth of the company with respect to the shareholder value. In addition, the company had planned this by providing the maintenance of the financial strength, pursuing quite compatible growth opportunities along with building the complementary gas business in the east coast basins. For that reason, the company works with their values of safety, creativity, performance, teamwork, respect and performance of the employees as well as the contractors. Though the company aims at such amount of improvisation in its profile still the safety is the primary concern for which the paper is concerned (Lay, et al., 2016). The company also feels safety to be the important part due to which they think safety to be at precedence in every action. In that context, the employment length gets that affects the socio-economic background. All these gets possible by the identification of the proper health hazard which becomes the basis of safety within the organization (Lay, et al., 2016). The reason behind it is the prolonged exposure to the health hazards occurring within the workplace. Thus the occupational health represents the health hazards of the employees in their working condition which can lead to the chronic illness. These hazards somehow present the danger to health, life, limbs which are basically associated with the occupation or the working environment. An Occupational Health Hazard and Associated Risks The occupational health and safety can be considered as an important part of an organization which deals with the identification of the chronic illness of any individual in the working condition at his or her workplace. Thus the occupational health management majorly describes the process of prevention of the adverse health effects on the health of the workers in the workplace. In addition, it also enables the protection of the workers and taking care of their physical, mental as well as social well-being in the workplace. For that reason, the paper includes the workplace like the Beach Energy in Australia and specifically makes the analysis of many of its possible health hazards (McLeod, 2014). In that context, while developing a keen idea regarding the occupational health hazards associated with the Beach Energy it came out that the employees those work in the organization face the chronic diseases, infections, and accidents. The infection gets more vital with more and more exposure of the individual to the wastes. When there has been the more and more exposure of the infected wounds there will be the skin as well as the blood infection. It will also result in the eye as well as the respiratory infection due to the dust. In addition to that, there will have various kinds of intestinal infections also due to the transmission of flies (Myers, et al., 2016). Along with that the employees also face the burning injuries at the occupational accidents which can also result in the bone and muscle disorders. The most vital which comes can be considered with must concern is the chronic diseases. The chronic diseases are the one that mostly kills the employees very slowly and get reflected in their last stage where there is no chance of getting cured. These chronic diseases are the respiratory diseases and cancers (Pirzadeh, et al., 2015). The chronic diseases are the resultant of the chemicals being used within the organization. These chemicals are the hydrogen sulphide, mercury, silica and drilling fluids. The leaking of hydrogen sulphide makes the body of the employees trembled which can cause the death of the employee within few minutes or seconds as per the breath failure. Similarly, the drilling fluids also result in the emergence of drowsiness, dizziness, nausea and headaches. In addition, the prolonged inhaling of fine silica results in the occurrence of silicosis and damages the lung tissues causing respiratory failure (Pirzadeh, et al., 2015). While the workers are working in the oil and gas industries by taking such risks to their lives at that time they must be provided with the best possible legal requirements which can save them from many kinds of hazards. For that reason, there have been the implementations of the many legal processes which will save them from getting injured. Moreover, the implementations of legal requirements carry out the management of ethical considerations by the formulation of acts. These acts provide the knowledge regarding the eye and face protection, hand protection, head protection, foot protection, machinery and machine guarding, storage and handling of liquefied petroleum gasses and fire protection. In addition, there will be the strong implementation of the flame-resistant clothing along with the positioning of the Active hydrocarbon Zone (Pirzadeh, et al., 2015). There will also be the barrier guard for the draw works drum at the oil drilling sites. Various industries have incorporated the safe entry and cleaning of the petroleum storage tanks, planning and managing tank entry by Recommissioning to Decommissioning. The changes within the whole process are the part that establishes the health and safety within the organization. In any case, the changes that have been the required within the processes are the flaws in the safety culture, lacking real commitment, flawed communication, inadequate learning from the previous events and finally the lacking of real commitment by the leaders towards safety (Pirzadeh, et al., 2015). The reason behind the implementation of these changes will basically enhance the productivity along with the improvement of safety. Moreover, there will be the decrease of accidents as compared to previous times to help to calculate the high and low accident rates within the organizations. The changes will never let the employees face the adverse or unsafe condition within the workplace at Beach Energy. The health and safety establishment is the part that basically helps in the formulation of the rules as well as policies which will help the employees in getting the solutions to the issues raised in the occupational health exposure the overall assumptions provided by the paper will definitely provide the clear scenario of the occupational health hazard. Thus the designing of the work methodologies along with the tools as well as equipment will help in the elimination of the occupational health hazard. More specifically due to this fact the production, human life, and quality will be mostly at risk which will enhance the capabilities which will help in recognizing the limitations (Sola, et al., 2013). Thus the management by which the occupational health hazard can be minimized comprises of the health care system, hygiene and sanitation, first-aid, emergency medical care, health risk assessment, medical management of obnoxious substances, pre-employment and regular medical check-ups and wellness as well as the fitness program for the employees and the families. Detail the Occupational Health Program you have Chosen The employees in the Beach Energy generally face the condition of occupational health hazard that basically affects their skin, lungs as well as other organs. In that context, the employees face this situation by getting exposed to the scenario for prolonged time period. Moreover, this may also lead to the emergence of the noise-induced hearing loss. And finally, the most important part is that the occupational health hazards result in the threatening of the life of the workers (Sola, et al., 2013). Thus for that reason, the management of the Beach Energy should formulate the effective plan which will help the employers to carry out the whole process. In that context, the occupational health program is such a part that protects the workers from being exposed to the chemicals, radiation and all other hazardous materials. As per the concept, an effective plan is an approach that will help in working against the exposures (Wong, Gray Sadiqi, 2015). For that reason, the plan should contain the purpose statement, responsibilities of the employers, supervisors, and workers, identification as well as the assessment of the associated risks, risk control, manpower education and training, safe and clear working procedures, hygiene facilities and the decontamination procedures, documentation and health monitoring. By acquiring these process there will have the organization will reach up to the elimination of the occupational health hazards. In addition to that, the monitoring of these processes or the health monitoring in the Beach Energy can be carried out by identifying the respective chemical or any other causative exposure. By identifying the accurate process or the actual nature of the chemical the monitoring can be fulfilled. The assessment of the whole procedure is the witness that the organization will be able to fulfil the objective by carrying out proper planning, implementation, and evaluation of the risk as well as the every possible management strategies (Sola, et al., 2013). This will help the addressing the health hazards, enforcements, data collection systems, surveillance, and dissemination. The tools and techniques like the automatic detection technology will be very much helpful in improvising the employee outcome. Along with that, the real-time monitoring solutions will also help in the communication process and precise employee positioning. Conclusions This paper illustrated the key insights regarding the occupational health hazards. Along with that it also provided the detailed knowledge of how these occupational health issues can be tackled in the oil and gas industries like Beach Energy. In that context, the paper provided a management process which can be gained from the above-mentioned plan. The proper implementation of the plan and the regular monitoring of the implemented plan will improvise the health and safety process in the organization. Six Unbeatable Research Tips

Six Unbeatable Research Tips Whether you’re starting in a library, a computer lab, or at home, there are certain how to make research guidelines you should follow. These guidelines are in place to make your life easier. As we said before, the more you participate in the research step, the more prepared you are to write a rough draft. 1. Use government and official websites This means â€Å".org† and â€Å".gov†. If you use a â€Å".com† website, you need to have proof that it holds valid information. Anyone can create a â€Å".com† address through WordPress, Weebly, or another platform for just twenty dollars a year. This hardly makes them reputable websites. While there are exceptions (you can always search for â€Å"authority† websites such as the New York Times or USA Today), â€Å".com† addresses are generally unacceptable for research papers and essay purposes. The same isn’t true for books. We don’t have a valid screening process for information found in printed media. One can argue that the cover of a book and the quality of its contents can probably speak to its accuracy, but it can’t be proven entirely. It also takes far less work to obtain a website address than it does to obtain a book. For this reason, professors are often harder on website URLs and their accuracy than the accuracy of published books. Also, never ever use Wikipedia for research projects or essays. Anyone can change the contents of a Wikipedia page, as long as they are familiar with the platform. Don’t fall into that trap. Your professor won’t accept it. 2. Record information and quotes as you find them Never write down a source without a specific quote that you want to use. If there’s more than one, make multiple references to that source. Organize this information on a separate document – or, more usefully, on index cards that can be easily rearranged. Number the index cards or mark them with a symbol. This symbol can mean that the index cards cover a certain subtopic (for example, a star might represent Barrack Obama during the 2008 election while a carrot might represent Hillary Clinton). It can also represent the paragraph of your essay in which the quote on the index card belongs. This system of reference will help you organize your paper before you begin the academic writing process. Also, keep in mind that you should write all of the information needed for a bibliography citation on the index card or document. This will avoid a second trip to the library. It will also ensure that you don’t have to drag any books or reference materials home. By the time you leave, you should have everything you need. 3. Visit the library You can probably do the majority of your paper at home, but your research should really be done in an academic setting. There are an endless number of resources and books that you can access data for free through your library database. The system really can’t be beat on this level. You won’t be able to find the same information on your laptop at home. It just isn’t feasible. Do your essay justice – start in a library. You’ll only need to spend two or three hours there. After that, you can go home and stay home (as long as you follow the index card process, of course). 4. Ask your professor for references If you’re struggling to find information for your topic, ask for ideas. Professors are chock full of helpful hints, and they are usually more than happy to help you with your paper. While they are hard on you come grading time, they don’t want to see you fail. Obviously, there are exceptions to that rule. Everyone has faced a miserable professor in their college career. But we’ve found, for the most part, that professors want to help their students succeed. You can visit during office hours, ask for an opinion after class, or send an email. It’s worth the hassle – especially since you’re showing the person grading your essay that you have the motivation to do well. Talk to your professor. It’s the smart thing to do. 5. Skim your resources – don’t read them in their entirety Yes, we’re telling you to do less work. Your professor wouldn’t expect you to dive into every piece of information that you acquire. Why? Because it isn’t necessary. And, quite honestly, a professor wouldn’t do it either. It just isn’t an efficient way to spend your time. Skim for the quotes that you need to write your essay, then be done with it. These are quotes that feed into your â€Å"angle†, which we’ll talk about in the next section. Once you have what you need and you’ve recorded the necessary information, close the book or exit the page. You can always come back to it later, if you realize you don’t have enough to reference already. 6. Establish a mental link between you and your subject You might not have any interest in the 2008 Presidential Election – but you need to find that common ground. Maybe, after a bit of research, you’ve found that Barrack Obama was an underdog during the beginning stages of his campaign. Maybe you can relate to that. Maybe you decide to angle your essay around that. That’s completely fine, but you need to establish this connection. In other words, find something about your essay topic that genuinely piques your interest.

High School Styles Essays (828 words) - Subcultures, Hairstyles

High School Styles High School Styles School is one of those activities that takes a good portion of one's life until your mid-twenties; but what we are going to focus on is high school students. Do you remember your first day of high school? The place was full of all types of prospective students. Each type has its own style of dress, grooming, speech patterns, and attitudes. Even though they are all students they differ to include bangers, kickers, preps, jocks, and nerds. Bangers or head bangers dress in darker colors, usually black. Their pants tend to be very baggy and sag while their shirts are very small and tight fitting. Their grooming habits differ widely in the fact that they always appear dirty, or look as if they just crawled out of the bed or some undesirable place. Some like the style of long, stringy hair and grossly overdone makeup, while others like colorful, spiked, greasy hair. A lot of them favor dyeing their hair; either yellow-corn blond or shoe polish black. The speech patterns used by this group consist of violence, darkness, and profanity. They usually express this by adding tattoos and piercing all over their bodies. Their attitude is very negative toward others outside of their group. Kickers or cowboys dress in tight Cowboy Cut Wrangler jeans usually the 13MWZ style, western or polo shirts, and cowboy boots (Ropers are the most popular), or Justin Chukkas. A fancy belt that has a lot of silver on it and a large, shiny buckle are almost required apparel. Their grooming habits are neat, the guys having short hair and being clean-shaven. The girls usually have long hair, frequently up in a ponytail adorned with an ornament. They talk in a rural style, preferring words like ain't, ya'll, yonder. They use a milder form of profanity that normally refers to animal excrement. Their attitude is cheerful, friendly, and somewhat tolerant. They are polite and respectful to all. Preps or preppies dress in a very fashionable ?Dillard's style?; every thing must be the latest fashion. All popular, name brand clothing is worn such as Old Navy, Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, etc. Their grooming habits are somewhat similar to the kickers. However, they don't wear boots. They usually wear expensive tennis shoes. The guys are clean and neat and the girls groom themselves in a well made up way, but not overdone. The girls usually have their nails done weekly at the local nail salon. They paint their nails bright colors or matching to whatever outfit they have on for the moment. The speech patterns of the preps can be somewhat crude at times. They like to tell off-color jokes and stories. This group has a superior attitude and looks down on most of the other groups. They have a tendency to be arrogant and conceded. Nerds or geeks will someday rule the world. This group normally has higher IQ's. Their dress is a little out of style. They normally do not care a lot about name brands. Their grooming tends to be run of the mill, nothing spectacular or outrageous, just whatever is available and clean. The stories about most of them having pocket protectors is largely myth. Their language can be obscure and heavily encumbered with technical jargon. Their attitude and outlook conveys a deep trust of everything technical and advanced. Being often ostracized by their classmates they are often loners and have trouble adjusting to the other groups. Unfortunately, this group has produced many of those students who have made violent attacks upon their school and fellow students. Although jocks or athletes can seemingly be a member of other groups there are things that set them apart. In their dress they have a tendency for letter jackets, athletic jerseys, and gym shorts, and the most expensive tennis shoe that is made. They are a clean group of individuals from all the after practice showers. Their very short hair is stylish with them since many of the coaches demand it. However, the girl jocks tend to have long hair tied up in a knot, or braided to keep it out of their face while playing their sport. Their speech patterns tend to be consistent with kickers and preps

Thomas Riley Marshall Essays - Presidency Of Woodrow Wilson

Thomas Riley Marshall Essays - Presidency Of Woodrow Wilson Thomas Riley Marshall Thomas Riley Marshall was born in North Ranchester, Indiana on March 14, 1854. He graduated from Wabash College in 1873 where he studied law. Afterwards he was admitted to the Indiana bar in 1875, practicing his profession in Columbia City. His father was a physician. He was also a popular public speaker and active in local Democratic politics. Marshall was a small town lawyer when he received the nomination for governor in 1908, a compromise darkhorse candidate. His political party for governor was Democratic and he was also very progressive. He was a popular governor, although his attempts to have the state adopt a new constitution failed. He stayed governor until 1913. At the democratic national convention in Baltimore in 1912, Marshall was the favorite-son candidate of Indiana for the presidency. When Woodrow Wilson was nominated for president, Marshall was chosen for the vice presidency. Wilson was reelected in 1916; Marshall served with him until 1921. Marshall also served as presiding officer of the senate. Thomas Marshall was the twenty-eighth vice president of the United States. He was the vice president for eight years under Woodrow Wilson. During his terms as vice president, he was well known for his wit. He achieved fame for his remark, "What this country needs is a really good five cent cigar." He said this aside while in a senate debate in 1917. Slight of stature and impeccably groomed, Marshall continued as a popular orator even after retiring from the vice presidency. His autobiography is an entertaining record of his career. The book contains more in depth coverage of his vice presidency. During Wilson's serious illness, beginning in late 1919, Marshall considered declaring himself as acting president. He didn't though because he feared that his action could divide the country. Marshall died in Washington D.C. on June 1, 1925.

Japans High Speed Growth Model and Extent Vietnam Followed the Model Essay

Japans High Speed Growth Model and Extent Vietnam Followed the Model - Essay Example To understand the high-speed growth, of Japan, which took place after the war was over, we should first understand its development and history of Japan during 18th and 19th century. During this time Japan relied on agricultural technology which it developed. the then government of the Meiji took some modernized measures which propelled the economy of Japan later in the 19th and early part of 20th century and by the year 1945 Japan was considered one of the most powerful nations both economically and militarily, and this led to the basic foundation structure of the post-war high speed growth. Comparing Japan and Vietnam would not be a correct approach but we can say that Japan‘s high speed growth model has effected the economic situation of the Vietnam in a major way. Both following the assumptions of Solow Model and both overturning their economies after their economies was shattered by wars only confirms the fact that Vietnam has learnt some important methods and steps to improve their economic situation from the high speed growth model. The whole issue is bolstered by the fact that if we look at the present situation Vietnam grew at a rate of 7.5 percent per year from the period of 1995-2004 and this is recorded as faster growth next only to the Asian superpower china. This was the time of crisis in that region with Soviet Union collapse but Vietnam only improved further with its foreign investment equal to 8 per cent of its GDP which is higher than china. All this suggests only one aspect that the revolution of renovating economy which it was inspired from the h igh speed growth model of Japan has only improved the situation of Vietnam and its economic structure.
